POSITION SUMMARY PJ
Builders is hiring its first Director of Business Development & Client Experience — a strategic leadership role built to transform how the company grows. This is not a transactional sales position. It is an executive-level function responsible for building the sales, client experience, and marketing infrastructure that will carry PJ Builders from $8M to $80M.
ABOUT THE COMPANY PJ
Builders is a premier luxury custom home builder operating in the Park City, Utah mountain resort market. Founded and led by Pete Olson, the company has earned a strong reputation for craftsmanship, integrity, and enduring client relationships. With a lean, high-performance team of 9-11 people and $8M in current annual revenue, PJ Builders is positioned for significant growth ahead of the 2034 Winter Olympics — a once-in-a-generation demand catalyst for luxury construction inthe Park City market. The company's 10-year vision targets $80M in annual revenue, with a Year 1 target of $16M. The construction team already has the capacity to handle double the current volume — the growth bottleneck is sales, relationships, and brand infrastructure. This hire addresses that directly. Four forces make this hire urgent: The construction team has 2× capacity — growth is gated by sales and relationships, not execution. Pete Olson currently owns all sales. This role frees him to lead strategy, partnerships, and culture. Park City is positioned for a surge in luxury construction demand ahead of the 2034 Olympics — a narrow window to capture market share. PJ Builders has strong brand equity and zero formal sales or marketing infrastructure. The right leader professionalizes the machine.
OBJECTIVES
Own the full sales cycle — from first contact to signed contract Build and manage referral networks with architects, interior designers, and real estate advisors Manage the CRM pipeline (HubSpot) with full visibility into opportunity forecast Qualify opportunities to protect team capacity and focus on the right clients Lead discovery and early budget conversations with high-net-worth clients Design and deliver a best-in-class luxury client journey Establish communication standards and touchpoints that build deep trust Partner with Project Managers for a seamless pre-construction handoff Create repeatable, high-touch experience processes Monitor client satisfaction and proactively resolve friction Own brand messaging and luxury positioning Guide website, photography, and project storytelling
COMPETENCIES
Relationship Builder — proven ability to develop trust with high-net-worth clients and referral partners over long sales cycles Strategic Systems Thinker — builds scalable sales and marketing processes; doesn't just close deals Luxury Brand Ambassador — deep appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and the nuance of the ultra-premium client experience Executive Communicator — strong emotional intelligence; comfortable partnering directly with ownership and leading cross-functional alignment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
7-15+ years in luxury residential construction, architecture, design, real estate, or a high-end service industry Demonstrated track record building referral networks and managing long-cycle relationships with high-net-worth clients Experience building or managing CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) Compensation Base salary $130,00 - 155,000 Total Comp $220,000-400,00+ PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods Ability to attend in-person meetings, client site visits, and industry events Occasional travel as required for client and partner meetings
