We're excited to support our client in their search for a strategic, hands-on Director of Sales to join their team. •This is an onsite position based in Oshkosh. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Sales will serve as a hands-on sales leader responsible for leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives while helping the organization build the structure, processes, systems, and accountability needed to support its next phase of growth. This is an opportunity for a leader who can immediately bring strong people leadership, performance management, accountability, and CRM/technology expertise to the organization while helping transition the business from paper-based processes to greater automation and structure in a thoughtful, collaborative way. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated leadership experience overseeing inside sales or a combination of inside and outside sales. This is an opportunity for a humble, approachable, and consistent leader to become a meaningful change agent — someone who can understand the business and team first, then introduce the structure, technology, and processes needed to support accountability, scalability, and continued growth. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement Establish clear expectations, performance standards, goals, and accountability measures for the sales team Provide consistent coaching, feedback, mentoring, and performance management to help team members grow and succeed Build strong relationships with the existing team and broader organization, taking time to understand the business, people, customers, and culture before implementing significant change Develop and execute sales strategies that support revenue growth, customer relationships, and the organization's long-term business objectives Drive B2B sales performance through thoughtful goal setting, pipeline management, sales activity, forecasting, and performance measurement Establish and maintain effective sales processes, systems, and operating rhythms that create greater consistency, visibility, and accountability Evaluate current sales practices and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, eliminate unnecessary manual work, and create scalable processes Help lead the organization's transition from paper-based processes toward greater automation, technology adoption, and digital workflow Evaluate CRM capabilities and recommend enhancements, process changes, or technology solutions that improve the sales team's effectiveness Establish meaningful sales metrics and dashboards that provide visibility into activity, pipeline, conversion, revenue performance, and other key business indicators Use data and reporting to identify trends, opportunities, performance gaps, and areas for improvement Partner closely with the leadership team on sales strategy, business growth, organizational priorities, and performance Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, remaining close enough to the sales team and customer experience to understand what is happening in the business Help build the infrastructure and operating discipline necessary to support the organization's goal of significantly expanding its business over the next five years Approach the first 90 days with a focus on learning the business, understanding existing systems and processes, building relationships, assessing team capabilities, and establishing a strong foundation for future performance What You'll Bring 5+ years of progressive B2B sales experience with demonstrated success driving revenue growth Proven leadership experience overseeing inside sales, outside sales, or a combination of sales functions Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold sales professionals accountable for performance Experience establishing sales goals, metrics, expectations, processes, and performance management practices Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, pipeline management, forecasting, customer relationships, and revenue generation Demonstrated CRM expertise and strong comfort with technology and sales systems Strong business acumen and the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to navigate challenging conversations professionally A leadership style grounded in humility, approachability, consistency, and active listening Preferred Experience Experience in a small or midsized, entrepreneurial, family-owned, or closely held organization Experience helping an organization transition from manual or paper-based processes to automated systems Experience in an organization preparing for significant growth or expansion Why You'll Love Working Here Our client offers an opportunity to join an organization that is entering an exciting phase of growth and evolution.
