Top Workplace Award Winner (2024, 2025 & 2026) Position Summary GLMG Hotels is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Director of Sales to lead all sales efforts for our award winning Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Wausau. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, developing strategic partnerships, and achieving hotel revenue goals through proactive sales activities, account management, and business development. What You'll Do- Develop and execute the hotel's annual sales and marketing plan.
- Generate new business across corporate, group, government, SMERF, association, and leisure segments.
- Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, trade shows, and community outreach activities.
- Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and tourism partners.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and prospect database.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and market strategies.
- Conduct hotel tours, client presentations, and site inspections.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, negotiated rates, and account agreements.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, chamber meetings, and networking functions. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
- Previous Director of Sales, Sales Manager, or hospitality sales leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Wyndham, Choice, or other branded hotel sales programs preferred.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, Delphi, SalesPro, Ivvy or similar hotel sales platforms.
