Duties Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos when needed Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to create an inviting shopping environment Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance over the phone Support product demos for customers to encourage engagement and educate them about featured items or new arrivals Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations for smooth checkout processes Prior supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding team members or managing cashier shifts Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customers effectively Ability to perform basic math quickly for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and grocery store experience is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and patience in busy environments Familiarity with stock management, inventory procedures, and retail sales transactions Join us as a Cashier to deliver outstanding service that keeps customers coming back!
