Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Provide basic administrative and clerical support (handling incoming calls, data entry, filing) to ensure efficient operation of the sanitation department. Handling customer transactions related to sanitation services, (billing, receiving payments, and issuing receipts). Also provide basic customer service and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process payments (in person, over the telephone and by mail)
- Keep accurate account of cash drawer
- Run & print reports
- Print receipts
- Have a good knowledge of Sanitation accounting procedures
- Ability to process and set up new accounts
- Ability to take service orders and enter them into the system
- Continuously updating accounts when in contact with a customer
- Help make collection calls when workload is slow
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write.
- Good basic Math skills
- Advanced Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good telephone etiquette
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Valid Driver's License
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in collections, customer service, or related field.
- Must possess, maintain a valid state issued driver's license and insurable driving record.
- This is a "safety-sensitive" position.
