In this role, you will be the friendly face greeting guests, efficiently handling transactions, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Your culinary and food handling knowledge will support the overall restaurant operations, making every guest feel valued and satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, POS systems, and customer engagement within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their ordering process using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Accurately process cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve guest satisfaction. Manage food preparation support tasks, including basic food handling and sanitation practices to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and surrounding spaces by bussing tables and assisting with food delivery when needed. Support food industry operations by understanding menu items, serving guests promptly, and ensuring quick service in a fast food or quick service restaurant setting. Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales totals efficiently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent time management. Experience in food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory; culinary experience is welcomed!
