Amorosa Calistoga, CA Job Description:
We are seeking part to full time Reservation Assistants/Cashiers who are enthusiastic and customer service oriented. This role is one that covers a variety of responsibilities supporting the overall success of the Castle on a day-to-day basis. You may find yourself assisting at check-in for guest reservations and escorting them to tasting areas or tour starting points. Other times you may be stationed at the cashier check-out area helping guests fulfill purchases in the gift shop or complete online orders. We are looking for someone that is customer service focused and willing to be a creative problem solver to ensure our guests have the best possible experience. Previous cashier and money handling experience is preferred but not required. Must be extremely reliable, work well under pressure, and display a positive work ethic. Applicants must be comfortable multi-tasking.
Duties may include:
  • Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interactions
  • Greeting visitors warmly and professionally
  • Tour and wine tasting ticket sales
  • Answering phones and taking tour reservations via phone and in person
  • Opening, counting, closing, and balancing a register drawer
  • Accepting payment and making correct change for purchases
  • Ringing orders for shipping out of state and internationally
  • Maintaining timely transaction sessions
  • Accurate data entry of customer information for shipping orders and tour reservations.
  • Stocking wine and gift items
  • Being flexible with scheduling
  • Arriving to work on time and ready to start right away
  • Recommending various food and entertainment venues to customers around the Napa Valley
  • Working possible long hours/ evening events on occasion
  • Weekend work availability

Required Knowledge/ Skills:
Cash Register/POS system operation Making change Balancing tills Excellent customer service skills Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication and division Computer skills Organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion (a case of wine) Excellent telephone protocol Wine knowledge preferred (not required) Must be 18 years of age or older This is a part time, non-exempt, variable hour position, starting salary is depending on experience.
