Shift Lead / Manager Position Overview The Front of House Attendant / Cashier is a guest-facing role responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience from the moment guests enter the restaurant through order completion. This position requires a friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality with a strong focus on hospitality, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced, fast-casual environment. You will serve as the first point of contact for guests, manage the ordering and payment process, and support overall front-of-house operations including cleanliness, organization, and team support. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality Greet every guest promptly with a warm, friendly, and engaging attitude Provide a welcoming and positive first impression of the restaurant Guide guests through the menu, explaining dishes, ingredients, spice levels, and options Demonstrate a customer-first mindset at all times Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate Cashier & Order Handling Accurately take guest orders using POS system Handle cash, credit, and digital payments responsibly and efficiently Maintain accuracy in order entry and modifications Ensure all orders are properly communicated to kitchen staff Manage to-go and third-party delivery orders with attention to detail Maintain clean and organized cashier station Upselling & Suggestive Selling Actively promote featured items, add-ons, beverages, and desserts Suggest complementary items to enhance the guest experience Increase average check through thoughtful recommendations Stay knowledgeable on all menu items, specials, and promotions Cleaning & Side Work Maintain cleanliness of dining area, counters, beverage stations, and service areas Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces regularly Restock front-of-house supplies (napkins, utensils, condiments, to-go packaging, etc.) Assist with light cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal Maintain restroom cleanliness and stock levels Complete assigned side work and opening/closing duties Team Support & Operations Work collaboratively with kitchen and FOH team to ensure smooth service flow Assist with food running and order handoff as needed Support overall operational efficiency during peak and off-peak hours Follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards Qualifications Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred in a restaurant environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills and cash handling experience Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Interest in or familiarity with Indian cuisine is a plus Key Attributes for Success Customer-first mindset Positive attitude and team-oriented approach Strong attention to detail Sense of urgency and efficiency Reliability and accountability Willingness to learn and grow Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to [25-40 lbs.] Ability to move quickly and safely in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a vibrant, fast-growing concept Team-oriented and supportive environment Growth and advancement opportunities Employee meal benefits (if applicable)
