Cashier/Font desk Ice Palace - 3.8 Lake Forest, CA Job Details Part-time From $16.90 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Event customer service Full Job Description Job Overview The Cashier/Front Desk Associate is responsible for welcoming customers, processing transactions, answering questions, and supporting the daily operation of the ice rink. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers and helps maintain a friendly, organized, and safe environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service. Process admissions, skate rentals, program registrations, and other purchases using the point-of-sale system. Accurately handle cash, credit card payments, refunds, receipts, and register balances. Answer phone calls and respond to questions regarding schedules, pricing, programs, parties, rentals, and rink policies. Check customers in for public skating, hockey programs, figure skating sessions, sticktime, and other scheduled activities. Distribute and collect rental skates while helping customers find the correct size. Maintain accurate sign-in sheets, reservation lists, waivers, and program records. Monitor the lobby, front desk, rental area, and public spaces for cleanliness and safety. Restock front desk, concession, and rental supplies as needed. Communicate schedule changes, customer concerns, injuries, equipment problems, or unusual incidents to a manager. Enforce rink policies respectfully and consistently. Assist with birthday parties, group events, competitions, tournaments, and other special events. Perform light cleaning duties, including wiping counters, organizing rental skates, emptying trash, and keeping customer areas presentable. Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned. Perform other duties necessary to support rink operations. Qualifications Previous cashier, customer service, recreation, or front desk experience is preferred but not required. Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working with the public. Strong communication and basic math skills. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling complaints or busy periods. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable using computers, phones, registers, and scheduling or point-of-sale systems. Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds. Ability to work in a cold ice rink environment. Ability to bend, reach, organize rental skates, and perform light cleaning duties. Expectations Employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, maintain accurate transactions, follow Ice Palace policies, and contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
