Job Summary We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions. Your main goal is to create a positive shopping experience for customers by managing the cash register, assisting with product knowledge, and ensuring smooth checkout processes. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and eager to help customers find what they need. Duties Operate the cash register accurately during retail sales transactions, including processing payments via POS systems. Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed. Handle cash drawer operations with care, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a positive attitude. Stock shelves and merchandise displays to keep the store organized and inviting for customers. Maintain good phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries remotely. Support in supervising new team members or trainees, sharing product knowledge and cashier procedures. Qualifications Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in multiple languages are a plus; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and giving correct change. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising principles is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly demeanor. Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not required. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail.
