Job Description

The Lunch Box/Concessions Cashier plays a vital role in providing excellent guest experiences at our Lunch Box and concession stands. This position combines customer service with hands-on food preparation, including made-to-order items such as ice cream, popcorn, and other specialty concession offerings. You will interact directly with guests, prepare and serve items in front of them, and ensure their experience is timely, pleasant, and memorable. The Lunch Box/Concessions Cashier will report to the Food & Beverage Management Team. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Interact warmly and efficiently with guests, taking and preparing orders in real time at the counter. Prepare concession items, including made-to-order items like ice cream, popcorn, and hot sandwiches, while guests watch. Follow provided recipes and preparation guidelines to ensure consistent product quality. Set up, stock, and maintain all concession and Lunch Box areas, ensuring readiness before each shift (e.g., sandwich wraps, boxes, straws, cups, condiments). Assist with distributing prepared items to satellite locations from the Lunch Box as needed. Operate POS terminals to process payments (cash, debit, credit) accurately. Count and reconcile cash register drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, maintaining receipts and financial records. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout shift and during closing procedures. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation and guest interaction. Participate in stand set-up, restocking, and general maintenance. Anticipate and respond to guest needs in a fast-paced environment, delivering friendly and efficient service. All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Prior experience with POS systems preferred. Able to stand for extended periods (minimum 6 hours). Strong multitasking and time management skills. Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Team-oriented with the ability to remain calm and collected under pressure. Flexible schedule availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Valid San Bernardino County Food Handlers Certification required. Familiarity with food service best practices is a plus.
