Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and efficiently Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, assisting with product demos, and offering upselling suggestions to enhance sales Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and confidence, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies and merchandising products as needed Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and supporting overall store presentation Use strong communication skills to engage with customers via phone etiquette or in person, creating a friendly shopping environment Support the team by supervising or mentoring new cashiers, sharing best practices for cashiering and customer service Requirements Prior experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash handling Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings Join us in creating memorable shopping experiences!
