Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cashier and Gas Attendant, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end. Assist customers at the gas pumps by fueling vehicles safely and efficiently while ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Conduct product demos and upselling to promote store merchandise and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, shelves, and gas station stations through stocking and merchandising. Support store operations by monitoring inventory levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring products are attractively displayed. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with customers in a bilingual environment when needed and practicing courteous phone etiquette. Experience Previous retail sales experience or familiarity with grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or overseeing daily operations. Basic math skills are essential for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy. Experience with POS systems or similar technology enhances efficiency in processing sales transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone. Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stock management, and product demos will help boost sales performance. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
