Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Pharmacy Cashier to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth transactions while supporting patient service and care. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all customers and patients. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their pharmacy purchases and payments Process transactions accurately using the pharmacy's point-of-sale system Support patient service by answering basic questions and directing inquiries to pharmacy staff Maintain a clean, organized checkout area to ensure efficient service flow Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure smooth daily operations Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in handling patient information Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed Requirements Previous experience in a pharmacy setting or retail cashier role preferred, especially with LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques is a plus Excellent patient service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Critical care or acute care experience is advantageous for understanding patient needs in healthcare settings Familiarity with IV infusion procedures, intake processes, and hospital experience is desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality Join us at Al's Pharmacy where your energy fuels exceptional patient care!
