Role:
The Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient customer transaction experience within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for accurately processing customer payments, handling cash and electronic transactions, and providing exceptional customer service at the point of sale. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, managing repetitive tasks with attention to detail, and supporting overall store operations through janitorial duties and inventory assistance. The Cashier must be adaptable to a flexible work schedule to meet the dynamic needs of the business, including peak hours and weekends. Ultimately, this role contributes to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by combining technical cashiering skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in cashiering or customer service roles. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the accommodation and food services industry. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills. Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
