Job Description
Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety protocols. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while managing openTable reservations for optimal table management. Maintain a clean and organized dining area by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and assisting with general sanitation practices in line with food industry standards.. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems Strong culinary knowledge or culinary experience is a plus to better understand menu items and food preparation processes. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling and suggestive selling to maximize revenue. Experience with reservation platforms like Toast. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest relations. Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and accurate cash handling. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
