Responsibilities Operate cash registers (POS systems) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and digital payments. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits of items. Manage cash drawer handling with precision, balancing registers at the end of each shift. Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing products to enhance store presentation. Promote upselling opportunities by recommending additional items or accessories to customers. Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely. Requirements Proven experience in retail sales or cashier roles, preferably in grocery or specialty stores. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing cash drawers accurately. Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations is advantageous. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves.
