Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions quickly and securely Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and confidence Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos when appropriate Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting store environment Upsell products by suggesting relevant items to enhance customer purchases Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and assisting with inventory organization Follow proper phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries Support grocery store operations by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient checkout procedures Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Prior supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and in English to serve diverse customers effectively Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage shoppers Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required Ability to upsell products confidently to meet sales goals Demonstrated phone etiquette when interacting over the phone or via digital communication Basic math skills necessary for balancing registers and managing transactions Embark on a rewarding journey in retail sales where your energy makes a difference!
