Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to handle sales transactions, returns, and exchanges. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance store presentation. Verify identification for age-restricted sales and ensure compliance with all legal requirements. Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers at shift end, and managing cash register operations. Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and supporting product replenishment efforts. Qualifications Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred, especially in liquor or beverage sales. Strong familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in a retail environment are advantageous. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and customer service best practices.
