Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a knack for handling transactions accurately. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our store, responsible for providing excellent service while processing sales and assisting customers with their needs. Your role is crucial in creating a positive shopping experience and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash and credit card payments securely, ensuring accurate cash handling. Maintain knowledge of products to assist with product demos and upselling. Answer customer inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall shopping experience. Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to perform product demonstrations effectively. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in upselling products is a plus.
