Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our family owned smoke shop. The ideal candidate should have prior smoke shop experience and will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and previous retail or grocery store experience are a plus. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and security Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales Maintain proper cash handling procedures and balance registers at shift end Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure displays are attractive and well-maintained Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers Assist with merchandising tasks to optimize product placement Support inventory management through stocking and inventory checks Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone Qualifications Previous experience in smoke shop, or cashiering, environments preferred Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos as needed Friendly demeanor with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills in customer service, and retail operations will be valued.
