Full Job Description Overview:
Overview Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy (IMSA) is seeking an individual to fill the role of " Head Coach " for the high school FTC Robotics upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Experience in a high school coaching/sponsor role or club setting is preferred. This is a stipend position that is based on experience in coaching/sponsoring and years involved in the activity. The Head Coach must be able to pass a background check, and possess a valid Illinois drivers license to be able to drive any of the IMSA vehicles, which include up to a 14 passenger mini-bus. (no additional tests or endorsements are needed to operate these vehicles) Any potential candidate must possess the skills to conduct practices with varying Robotics activities, while also having the ability to manage a team that would include: Working with the Coordinator of Athletics & Co-Curriculars for developing a competitive season of matches Work with our food service staff to provide meals for the athletes when off campus. Attend practices & matches from the start of the high school season to potential state finals. Coordinate and supervise any overnight stays needed for post season competition during the state series of competition. Transport students to practices & matches during the course of the high school season. Any potential candidate must have or be willing to complete State of Illinois mandated training modules, as prescribed and assigned by GCN/OneNet) This position will report directly and will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Athletics & Co-curriculars at IMSA.
