In this role, you will handle transactions efficiently, assist customers with their purchases, and contribute to a positive store environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced grocery store setting. Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity Upsell products by recommending relevant items and product demos to enhance customer satisfaction Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Conduct product demos when needed to educate customers about new or featured items Assist with inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and stock checks Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries Support supervising staff by providing guidance on cashier procedures and customer interactions Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is highly desirable Strong communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and clear verbal interactions Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash transactions and sales calculations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and merchandising practices Experience with grocery store operations including stocking, product demos, and inventory management Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and team members Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the shopping experience—energizing customers, supporting team success, and contributing to our vibrant retail community.
