Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly. Handle cash register operations, including cash drawer handling, cash handling, and balancing registers at shift end. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring a positive shopping experience. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising to maintain an attractive store environment. Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone. Support inventory management through stocking and inventory checks to ensure product availability. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members. Apply basic math skills for transactions, discounts, and balancing cash drawers accurately. Assist in supervising new team members or trainees as needed, sharing product knowledge and best practices. Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with retail math and cashiering is a plus.
