Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a friendly, professional manner Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Previous supervising or leadership experience in retail or customer service roles preferred Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual abilities (preferred) for serving diverse customers Experience with merchandising, stocking, and retail sales strategies such as upselling Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers
