Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales experience, and a passion for providing excellent customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, ensuring an organized and inviting shopping environment. Bilingual abilities and prior experience in grocery or retail settings are highly valued. The will play a key role in driving sales through effective upselling and merchandising strategies while maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist customers with product selection and provide detailed product demos to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and ensuring merchandise is well-organized and attractive Conduct upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales Maintain excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays and ensuring products are properly presented Supervise or assist in supervising team members as needed, including training new staff on POS systems and customer service protocols Handle customer inquiries professionally, addressing concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and inventory management Ensure compliance with store policies, safety standards, and cleanliness protocols Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar customer service roles preferred Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory purposes Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking and upselling techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where your sales skills and customer service expertise will directly contribute to the success of our store.
