Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance sales opportunities Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organized checkout area Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cashier procedures and safety standards Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers effectively Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve our diverse customer base effectively Experience in merchandising, stocking, or retail sales enhances your ability to succeed in this role Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial for understanding product placement and inventory flow Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing outstanding service while developing your skills in a vibrant retail environment!
