Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping journey Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity Assist customers with product questions, including product demos when applicable Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure product availability Upsell related products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of checkout areas, adhering to safety and hygiene standards Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Support store operations by participating in inventory management, stocking, and merchandising tasks Supervise or assist new team members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Previous supervising experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is highly desirable Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage customers effectively Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries politely and efficiently Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow within a vibrant retail environment.
