MAINTAIN APPEARANCE OF THE SELLING FLOOR

Reflect the current season by displays and floor layout. Ensure that displays are changed on a regular basis. Dress the windows and change on a regular basis to attract customers and reflect the season. Plan and direct activities of sales floor staff and volunteers. Assist with other duties as assigned.

CASHIER DUTIES

Verify opening drawer funds prior to store opening and/or start of shift. Greet each customer as they enter the store. Check out customers quickly and accurately. Maintain drawer overage and shortage to guidelines.

MERCHANDISING RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor the pricing of hard goods for consistency and profitability. Coordinate a steady flow of merchandise from processing to the sales floor.

CLEANING DUTIES

Assist in keeping the sales floor and fitting rooms clean and orderly. Maintain the cash register counter in a neat and clean manner.

Requirements:

PHYSICAL FACTORS

Occasional kneeling, walking and sitting. Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting. Continuous stooping and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously. Must adhere to business casual dress code.

SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Take every opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Provide spiritual encouragement to staff, volunteers, guests, and residents. Invest in the spiritual development of staff, guests, residents, and donors. Pray for and with staff, volunteers, guests, residents, and donors. Ensure actions and policies reflect the Christian values and purpose of the Mission. Handle relational conflicts according to the Staff Covenant of Romans 12:18 and Matthew 18:15-19 Memorize monthly Scripture, Mission Statement, and Mission Core Values. Participate in corporate prayer and Scripture reading, staff chapel services, and all spiritual gatherings. Support and attend annual mandatory Evangelism In Service training to grow in knowledge of leading others to faith in Christ. 1Participate in annual spiritual growth training through organization selected curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma, GED or the work equivalent. Ability to communicate store policy and procedure in a Christlike manner. Possess knowledge of Mission's history and philosophy and communicate such to customers. Have an understanding and working knowledge of basic math. Must engage in safe and healthy work practices for staff, volunteers, and program participants.
