Front of House Specialist:

Cashier, Deli & Guest Service Hub's Restaurant | Skokie, IL $19-20 / Hour | 30 Hours Per Week (Starting) The Role We aren't looking for someone to just stand behind a register. At Hub's , we are a legacy business with deep roots in the community. We need a mature, high-energy professional who takes pride in their work and understands that "staying busy" is the standard. You are the face of the restaurant, the builder of our famous sandwiches, and the coordinator of every order that leaves our kitchen.

What You'll Be Doing Order Management:

Processing payments (cash/credit) via our POS system and managing a high volume of orders from walk-ins, phone calls, and 3rd party platforms (UberEats, GrubHub, etc.).

The Deli & Steam Table:

Crafting deli sandwiches to order, prepping sides like soups and chili, and plating trays with precision.

Beverage & Dessert Craft:

Making milkshakes, brewing coffee, and keeping our cake and pie displays looking full and delicious.

Restocking & Inventory:

Ensuring ketchup, napkins, and containers are always filled. If you see it's empty, you fill it.

Maintenance:

Keeping your station (coffee, deli, and cake areas) spotless throughout the shift, with a focus on deep cleaning machines and work areas weekly.

Requirements Maturity:

This is a "no-BS" environment. We need adults who show up ready to work, not sit on their phones.

Communication:

Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently to handle complex orders and guest requests.

Experience:

At least 1-2 years in a fast-casual or high-volume restaurant environment. You should already know how to multitask before you walk in our door.

Stamina:

You must be comfortable being on your feet and moving at a fast pace for the duration of your shift. Why Hub's? We pay above the industry average because we expect above-average performance.
