Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision. Provide friendly and professional phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or assisting with product information. Assist customers by demonstrating products, explaining features, and encouraging additional purchases through effective upselling strategies. Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers. Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience. Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and alerting management of low inventory levels. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions promptly, resolving concerns efficiently, and ensuring a positive shopping environment. Qualifications Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions. Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash register operations and retail math tasks. Experience with grocery store operations or familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers. Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
