A Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly and accurate checkout services. The cashier is to ensure that the prices and quantities are accurate, accept payment, issue receipts, answer inquiries and provide helpful information to the customers about products, promotions and item location. Cashiers also respond to complaints with genuine concern, assist the Customer Service team in creating a positive store atmosphere for customers and a positive working environment for Associates while working in a safe manner.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Observe all store rules and company policies. Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations. Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service. Observe shift -operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager. Engage the customer in casual conversation and Thank them. Be able to work within a team and be willing to learn. Handle food safely and keep their area clean. Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on an ongoing basis. Comply with all safety policies and procedures. Able to exert or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and exert or lift negligible amounts of weight often. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements :

Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred. Prior work experience preferred but not required. Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
