It is said that Izakaya started as a place where a local merchant offered glasses of sake to travelers along with some small specialty dishes. Today, an Izakaya is known as a typical Japanese pub that attracts all types of individuals and groups to spend quality time over a drink and some traditional small dishes after a work day. In the past years, I've been fortunate to be able to serve as the bridge between the American and Japanese cultures through my first restaurant, "Yokohama Ramen Joint" at Delano 613 W Douglas Ave location . With Izakaya [Yokohama Ramen Izakaya] at 6434 E Central Ave location , I'd like to continue to be the catalyst for this international food and culture exchange between the two cities I love, Wichita and Yokohama.

Chef Owner Yasunari Jack Fukuda Responsibilities:

• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Scan items and ensure pricing is correct
• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist with bussing tables and sanitizing dining areas, if required

Qualifications:

• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing correct change
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate pricing and cash handling
• Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred, but not required Please note that this position may also involve some kitchen-related tasks, such as assisting with food preparation or cleaning.
