Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to keep the store inviting and well-maintained Support product demos when needed to educate customers about features and benefits of various items Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries professionally and courteously Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in periodic stock counts Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering operations in a retail or grocery environment Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and grocery store operations preferred Experience in upselling, product demos, and retail sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities Competence in handling cash drawers securely while maintaining accuracy during transactions Familiarity with stock management, inventory procedures, and grocery store experience beneficial Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while developing your retail expertise.
