We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
JOB SUMMARY
The Service Clerk position functions as a cook, bartender, cashier III and an admissions clerk. Prepare and cooks meals for customers, sells admission forms and programs, mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons, and responsible for issuing and cashing mutuel vouchers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Admissions Clerk Answers telephone, if applicable. Accepts payment and makes change for customers. Answers questions concerning racing, schedules and reservations and gives information concerning coming attractions. Keeps daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold. Provides outstanding Customer Service at all times while conducting themselves in a manner consistent with the highest ethical and moral standards prevailing in the business community in which we operate Perform all other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Louisiana Racing Commission License.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
