A Cashier handles monetary transactions with customers. Takes customer payment for a product or service, provides change as needed and receipts for transactions. Provides accurate accounting of cash register funds, and provides customer service.
We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking Cashier/Stocker to join our team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing sales, stocking merchandise, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude. Accurately operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and debit transactions. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise. Rotate products and monitor expiration dates. Keep shelves neat, organized, and fully stocked. Assist customers in locating products and answering questions. Maintain a clean sales floor, restrooms, and work areas. Sweep, mop, and perform general housekeeping duties. Receive and organize deliveries. Replenish ice, drinks, snacks, and other merchandise as needed. Follow all company policies and safety procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned. Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed. This position requires flexibility and a team-oriented attitude. Employees must be willing to perform any store-related task assigned by management and assist in all areas of the business when needed to support daily operations.
