Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient operator at our busy service station. In this role, you'll provide exceptional customer service, manage retail sales transactions, and ensure the smooth operation of daily station activities. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all customers while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail and customer service skills in a fast-paced setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, purchases, and inquiries in a professional manner Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance customer experience and increase sales Stock shelves, coolers, and display areas regularly to ensure product availability and attractive merchandising Conduct product demos when applicable, explaining features or benefits to encourage sales Maintain cleanliness of the station including pumps, store area, restrooms, and surrounding grounds Follow safety protocols during fueling operations and handle any emergency situations promptly Experience Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is advantageous Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to address inquiries professionally Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations enhances performance in this role This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to deliver outstanding service while gaining valuable experience in retail sales, cashiering, and customer engagement.
