Schedule can be discussed with the cashier manager Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail and wholesale sales, including returns and exchanges, bagging groceries Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods correctly Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with questions Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized checkout area while adhering to etiquette standards during customer interactions (including store phone calls) On occasion, create or correct sales signs for products, stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with visual merchandising to create an inviting store environment Experience Previous cashier experience and/or customer service in retail or grocery stores is helpful but not at all required Background with typing on a keyboard and spelling skills strongly recommended Strong communication skills in multilingual settings are welcome.
