Responsibilities Operate the cash register efficiently, processing retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos. Handle cash, credit card payments, and cash drawer balancing with integrity and accuracy. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards. Assist in product demos to promote features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and stockroom to ensure a safe shopping environment. Support inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with customers politely via phone etiquette or in person. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance. Uphold store policies on product knowledge, retail math calculations, and retail sales transactions for smooth operations. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise, are essential. Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash register operations, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers.
