Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding product demos when needed Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain organized checkout lanes through merchandising, stocking, and ensuring product displays are appealing Enforce phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or in person Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and merchandising to ensure shelves are well-stocked and attractive Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment Strong supervising experience or ability to oversee team members during shifts when needed Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash register balancing and transaction processing Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with merchandising, stocking techniques, and product demos to engage customers effectively Strong phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or in person Experience in upselling and retail sales strategies to maximize revenue opportunities This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while providing outstanding service in a lively grocery store environment.
