Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Process transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit/debit payments, and refunds. Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock merchandise as needed, and support merchandising efforts. Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items. Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support store operations through stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory levels. Requirements Prior experience with POS systems and cashiering is highly preferred. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in retail environments is a plus. Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette to engage customers professionally. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is beneficial.
