Responsibilities Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service with professionalism and enthusiasm Manage cash handling procedures, including giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at shift end Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-maintained Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about new or featured items Upsell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store sales Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or follow-up calls Qualifications Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures is a plus Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining attention to detail Supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for potential growth opportunities This role offers an engaging environment where your enthusiasm and dedication directly contribute to our customers' positive shopping experiences.
