Job Description

Position Summary Olswell Cannabis Company is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Closing Inventory Lead to oversee end-of-day operations, inventory accuracy, and compliance adherence. This role is critical in ensuring all closing procedures are executed efficiently, cash is handled securely, and inventory records align with state regulations and internal standards. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management & Compliance Must be able to lift 35lbs. Maintain and update inventory records using Metrc and Dutchie systems Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory, reporting issues promptly Ensure full compliance with Michigan cannabis regulations and company policies Assist in audits and maintain audit-ready inventory practices Closing Operations Lead and execute all store closing procedures Ensure the sales floor, storage areas, and registers are secured properly Verify that all transactions are completed accurately before closing Cash Handling Count, balance, and reconcile cash drawers and safes at end of shift Prepare daily cash reports and deposits following company protocols Investigate and report any cash discrepancies Team Leadership & Support Support and guide closing team members to ensure smooth operations Communicate effectively with management regarding nightly operations Assist with training staff on inventory and compliance procedures Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in cannabis retail Hands-on experience with Metrc and Dutchie POS systems Strong understanding of Michigan cannabis compliance regulations Proven experience in cash handling and reconciliation High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and lead a team during closing shifts Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Skills Previous leadership or keyholder experience Experience preparing for or participating in compliance audits Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment Work Schedule Evening and closing shifts required Weekend and holiday availability may be required Why Join Olswell Cannabis Company?
