Job Summary We are looking for a friendly and attentive Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you'll be the friendly face that helps customers complete their purchases smoothly and efficiently. Your positive attitude and strong communication skills will ensure shoppers have a great experience every time they visit. Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately. Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, including product demos when needed. Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies like bags and receipts as necessary. Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, or promotions. Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and ensuring displays are tidy and inviting. Skills Experience with POS systems and cash handling is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse customers. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a wider range of shoppers. Basic math skills for quick calculations and accurate transaction processing. Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is beneficial but not required. Knowledge of customer service best practices, including phone etiquette and active listening.
