Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face that ensures every customer's shopping experience is smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges swiftly. Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and assist with product demos when needed. Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including counting cash, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end. Upsell relevant products and promotions to enhance the customer's shopping experience and increase store sales. Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries over the phone. Support inventory management by stocking items, conducting regular stock checks, and assisting with merchandising strategies. Engage in bilingual communication to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills are essential for accurate transactions. Supervising experience or leadership roles are a plus, demonstrating your ability to guide team members or assist in training new staff. Strong communication skills are vital for providing excellent customer service and collaborating with team members. Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising will help you excel in this role. Bilingual abilities can enhance your effectiveness in serving our diverse clientele.
