Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Gas Station Attendant/Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face customers see when they stop by for fuel, snacks, and quick service. This role combines customer service excellence with efficient retail and cash handling skills. You'll ensure a clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming environment while managing transactions accurately and promoting our products with enthusiasm. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service Operate the cash register (POS system) to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and issuing receipts Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure store cleanliness and organization Conduct basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and change accuracy Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or store calls professionally Promote store products through merchandising efforts and suggestive selling techniques Ensure compliance with safety protocols and store policies during all operations Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store environments, or cashier roles is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for team coordination roles Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively, especially spanish Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management practices Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory tasks Experience in grocery stores or retail sales transactions enhances your fit for this role This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to deliver outstanding customer service while developing versatile retail skills.
