Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and addressing their needs promptly Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity Assist customers with product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Practice effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising tasks as needed Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings is a plus Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are highly valued Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is essential Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques to promote sales success Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking practices, and customer service standards
