Whether processing purchases, assisting with product demos, or managing stock, your proactive approach will keep our store running efficiently and invitingly. Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely. Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience. Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity. Assist customers with product information, including conducting product demos when needed. Upsell relevant products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and reporting low inventory levels promptly. Follow proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or through online inquiries. Support team members by supervising or mentoring new staff when necessary to foster a collaborative environment. Skills Proficiency in using POS systems and cash handling procedures. Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are highly valued. Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash reconciliation. Experience in grocery store environments or retail sales is preferred. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining genuine customer engagement. Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication with customers over the phone or online.
