Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and securely Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with precision and integrity Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Manage phone etiquette professionally when assisting customers over the phone or in person Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing shifts Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and in-person interactions Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail sales techniques, and merchandising practices Experience conducting product demos to engage customers effectively Familiarity with upselling strategies to maximize sales potential Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail career while delivering outstanding service.
