To Be Determined Job Description The Macon R-1 School District is seeking a Food Service Cashier for the 2026-2027 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent Be able to work with students, faculty, and the general public in a diplomatic, friendly manner Be able to read and understand the district's Student Information System, Infinite Campus, and be able to follow verbal and written directions Be able to stand for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform cashier duties by collecting money for meals and lunch account payments Accurately charge student and staff accounts for meals and Al A Carte purchases using Infinite Campus Close and balance cash drawer at the end of each shift Ensure food service line is moving smoothly and efficiently Deals courteously with students, staff and visitors Maintains an effective working relationship with Food Service Coordinator and food service staff Reports on time for work and notify Principal of absences before the start of the workday Maintains good personal hygiene Uses time wisely, is organized, and works well with others Performs other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment:
Salary and work year to be established by the Superintendent. Applications will be pulled 7 days after initial posting. If no candidate has been selected, position will remain open until filled.
